Resignation from the Chairman of Tennessee Girls
Basketball...
April 7, 2009

Carroll Graham
Girls Basketball National Chair

After many long discussions and many e-mails and phone calls, I have decided to
withdraw my resignation from AAU. I wish to retain my chairmanship of Tennessee
Girls' Basketball, my governorship of Southeastern AAU and my position on the
National Committee of AAU Girls Basketball. I would like to thank everyone for all
the support I received concerning my stance on the rules. I want to think
Mr. Bill
Tipps
for his support and understanding. Three phone calls from former AAU
players now playing on scholarship stand out in my mind very much. They all three
asked me to rethink my resignation. This has not been an easy decision on my
part. However, I feel that it is in the best interest for Tennessee Girls' Basketball
and possibly AAU Girls' Basketball as a whole. I would personally like to thank
Carroll Graham for his involvement in helping me come to this decision. Also, I
would like to thank all who personally called me in the past several days. I
appreciate the door remaining open allowing me to return. In no way would I ever
want to hurt the status of AAU by my actions or for wanting something for myself.
By withdrawing my resignation in no way will I not be vocal in what I believe is right
for ALL PEOPLE and ALL TEAMS, large or small.
SPORTS FOR ALL FOREVER.
